AAM’s Annual Meeting and Museum Expo is the only event of its scope and scale. It brings together museums of all types and sizes—from art and history museums to zoos and botanic gardens—to share ideas and make connections that are transformative. It’s a place where all museum professionals learn from one another, create partnerships, and leave inspired to make an impact on their museums, communities, and the world.
Design Brief
Museums ensure understanding and appreciation for various groups and cultures. They promote a better understanding of our collective heritage and foster dialogue, curiosity, and self-reflection. Museums do all of this in a way that brings people together, strengthens our communities, and helps us learn about where we've been and where we are going. We felt this was conveyed best in The Alliance's sentiment: "Museums are Essential."
The designs proudly display this omnipresent phrase in large type and bold colors, accompanied by a diverse use of expressive images that Capture those Moments. Larger-than-life structures inspired by contemporary museum design and large-scale graphic murals make it easy, and affordable to create environments that instill this message.
Museums are Essential is visually translated into spaces that encourage community, curiosity, expression, and a willingness to encourage, Collaborate, learn, grow, evolve and explore. Imagine an environment that brings this to life and is a launchpad for the connections that ensue.
